We were advised yesterday that there was a nasty nasty coldfront blowing in from the Arctic, through Alberta, CA and across the Great Lakes. Loads of snow was expected.... WOW! They weren't kidding! Giant flakes outside my window right now. and I mean HUGE... Trying to photograph them without a flash is not working though. BUt you can kinda see the flakes in these two taken about 5 minutes ago....
Then a special request to those of you who pray. Please keep Officer Patricia Parete of the Buffalo Police Dept. in your thoughts today. There was a horrible shooting that happened on Tuesday night and she and another officer were shot while trying to apprehend a suspect. The suspect shot her in the chest and face, luckily she wore a bulletproofvest but the bullet pierced her spine and her fellow Officer Carl Andolina, (who Peter remembers from "back-in-the-day") in the arm and neck and chest but STILL managed to aprehend the suspect. Officer Andolina is in recovery and is doing well, Officer Parete is still isted as critical. Read the story here.
