It's going well!!

Just popped in while I have my tea to update. The big re-org is going SO well! So far I've blitzed the hanging section of the cupboard and rifled have already filled a black bag... not just any black bag... Catering sized bags that Peter brought home from the restaurant! We have a couple of things that are new or almost new and so we are going to flog those on eBay and see if we can get anything for them. Whatever doesnt sell will join the rest of the stuff at the Salvation Army Headquarters up the street.

Peter is being a real trooper about this and has volunteered his bicycle that he never rides that cost him $300 and his temperamental GameCube (which we are selling for parts along with his game collection). I haven't finished our drawers yet and I am sure that I will come out of there with a ton of stuff and then it's off to the kitchen for a biiiiiig throw out there. We have more mismatched glassware and plates than anyone I know and I refuse to drag all of that across the country.

Once I have finished here we aren't done yet. We still have alot of stuff stored over at Peters mom's house that we need to go through. They will be moving next year as well and cannot be sorting through all of our crap aswell. So that is our next port of call, but on the whole I am very proud of us soo far!

We have also more or less settled on a date for the move. We are thinking Wed, 28 Feb will be my last working day and his and then on Friday 2 March we will hit the road in a U-Haul with the stuff, travel over the weekend and hopefully be in Austin by Sunday. Then we hope to have already signed a lease for an apartment or house or whatever so that we can drop our things off and hand the truck back. We are probably going to need some help on the Austin end for some of this to be accomplished and so we will need to speak nicely to Peter's sister Julie, who has already offerred us help should we need it!

So basically, as long as we find a decent place to rent on that side from here, hopefully Round Rock area, we can sign a lease and send the money through and have a place to call home when we get there. I will have to take the week off and hopefully my clients will understand, so that I can get Broadband installed wherever we move and then be up and running by the second week of March moved in, unpacked and ready to go. The most important thing is that the bedroom is unpacked and the office is unpacked. Other than that we can rough it for a little while getting everything else in.

That's about all my news for today!
Hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday!

Ros
