So I was scanning the message boards over at 2peas when I stumbled upon a thread dealing with household chores and systems that people have in place. Seeing as how I am getting to the point where a system is needed I read through it and saw that this site FlyLady.net are recommended over and over. I went to check it out. I joined. Day1 is complete, all they ask you to do is shine your sink... done... well I shone the sink and the area around it and cleared out the cupboards too.... Hmm... I wonder if that isnt part of their scheme... they tell you to do such a simple thing that you expand on it yourself? Or maybe it's just because it's day one for me and I am still fired up... who knows... anyway... kitchen is looking good! Apparently for day 2 I need to get dressed in the morning, hair, make-up and everything... not sure how that is going to go down but it's worth a shot... I clean better in my jammies though!! hmm... may skip that part!
Oh, I received a parcel in the mail yesterday from one of my clients. A Macy's box... yum! I have wrapped it and shoved it under the tree. Today I found a card in the mail also from this client... $75 Macy's gift voucher! YAY me!! This is going to be put aside for the TX move... who knows what we might need down there and how long it takes before we are settled and earning again... This little beauty might come in handy at some point so I am hanging on despite Peters protests. He says that Macys is a girl store and I should get myself something nice with it... I think I am going to wait.
In other news my mother is driving me CRAZY!! She called to ask me to do an invoice for her and then went on a little tangent about how she feels that by closing for the week of Christmas I am risking my business because my clients are unhappy... er,,, no they aren't... some of them have been closed for two weeks already themselves! In fact the only client who is unhappy is the one who pays 50% discounted rates and is also only billed for half the time that she uses... oh wait... that's YOU mom!! GRRRRRR.... I doubt that there will be some International Life COach Crisis that will cause them to all need my assistance urgently on Christmas morning... or perhaps New Years morning... or maybe on the 4 other working days I am closed in between those two dates!! NUT-BAG!!! *phew!*... I feel better now!
Hope you are all having a greaaat day!! If anyone else wants to join the FLy lady system and do it with me let me know and I will wait for you to clean YOUR sink before I move on to the next step! Could be fun I think... Lu? Buns? Any takers ladies?
