Christmas Decor

Helloooo!

Well, groany guts survived the night so I think we are in the clear. Woohoo!

I have been thinking about and planning Christmas for a while now... I have made the cards and some of the handmade gifts as I mentioned yesterday. Last night I got down to serious business. Decorating. I had decided that I wanted to do something along the lines of the Jennifer Pebbles MM Idol Christmas Entry... soft greens and pinks as I really love those colors... So I started my search online for the biggest component... the tree. When I saw what they are asking for a tree I nearly passed out! Unreal! There is no way that we are willing to spend that much on some decorations that we will probably leave behind when we move out of Buffalo. We are entering a serious saving stage (right after we buy our gifts) and I am afraid that $200 could do more for us in the bank than it could littering the flat with pine needles. I decided to make a tree ala CK December, only I am impatient and wanted it NOW and I didnt have the styrofoam cone, pot, right paper colors... IN fact I didnt have anything that suited the scheme I was shooting for. But I did it anyway. I made a tree and a garland using the Christmas Card leftovers! I am so proud of myself!! It isn't perfect, or wonderful. But it will suffice and ith a few little extras it will at least feel a bit like Christmas around here! Woohoo! I made a cone out of paper and after adding the "leaves" I plopped it onto a candle stick for the stem and it worked! Yay me! So now for your viewing pleasure I give you Christmas at the Nulls

(Please don't laugh at my four pointed star... I know it's wrong, but if you could have seen how long it took me to make the damn thing you would understand why we are going to just stick with this one.)
