Blou Maandag

Well today is Monday and I have a ton of stuff I should be doing. Battling to focus though because I am busy thinking about the (hopefully) lovely townhome we are going to have a look at in an hour... We need to get out of this area... The neighbors are less than fantastic and I have had it up to my eyeballs with bar fights across the road to the right and the addicts lined up outside the apartment across the street waiting for service. This is a STUNNING apartment and so close to town etc. But the really only good for a bachelor, the landlady leaves MUCH to be desired, the neighbors stink and we need more room.

Now of course my City-Slicker husband refuses to move to the 'burbs... *sigh* So after much haggling we compromised (see what a good married couple we are!)... and we opted for a two block square neighborhood on the border between the 'burbs and the city.... this of course has SERIOUSLY limited our options... and we will end up paying more money per sq foot there than we would in the suburbs.... (I'm just pointing that out hun!)... but what can you do. The place we are looking at has everything. We will even have *gasp!* a dining area! And at last a spare bedroom for my little office.... anyway...

We are off to check it out in an hour... I am not looking forward to meeting the property manager... she has one of those cutesy-wootsy names and sounds all perky on the phone... it's cold and 4 degrees out and I am willing to bet she will be wearing open stiletto sandals and a tube top. Her hair and nails perfectly coiffed and manicured... ugh... Buffalo women are bad for your self esteem... they aren't much to look at, but they sure do work what they have.... I am off to apply another layer of mascara and fiddle with my hair.... again... See, this is why i LOVE working from home.... I live in my PJs!
