Sorry bout the unintended blog break! I had such a busy day yesterday and I just didn't make it back here. Not much to report... battling armies of ants in my kitchen... uhm... oh P brought home this very funky chair yesterday... not so much dumpster diving as construction site looting... but we like it. It's a bit rusted on the legs at the back, nothing serious, but you can see the rust trying to come through. Oh and the pleather has a stain in the seat... Any ideas how to clean things up?
Spent last night here scrapping up a storm... After 2 redos I am still not happy with my page in last months CJ so I had to settle for "good enough" and sent it off this morning. Tonight I want to tackle the "My town is famous for..." CJ which is my second last one. Phew! And then the rest of the weekend will be spent doing the usual laundry catch up and cleaning the poison off the walls of my kitchen... ANTS!! Ugh! And also want to work my way through at least one more skein of yarn... P is working tonight and will only be home at around 9pm so he will miss most of the Second Sabres vs Rangers game. Cross fingers again girls, you came through for us last game!
Then I just wanted to share this pic... these lovely ladies popped their heads up over night right outside my kitchen window. The picture is blurry for two reasons... A) My windows are coated in a sticky layer of bug spray and B) we have that netting stuff on all the windows here. (I really don't like it... but as I renter that's not my call). Anyone have any ant extermination tips that won't potentially harm myself and the environment?
Oh and in BIG news. P's mama and step-dad bought a house! They sold and bought a house in a matter of a week! Those Bertholf's don't joke around I tell ya! The new house is absolutely stunning and while the neighborhood isn't exactly what they were looking for, they are very happy with their purchase. This all makes the move feel even MORE real!! Roll on August I say!
Love y'all! <-- see... I'm practicing...

Apparently cats hate citrus tho, so don't use the citrus solvent around Jack, you might want to try the other suggestions at the bottom (cos you can't use Borax around him either).
