Phew it's a stinker!

So who knew that after the cold, cold winter we just had I would be so sweaty so soon!! Buffalo is terribly humid thanks to the great lakes and so with temps in the high twenties (not sure what that is in F) it appears that summer is upon us already.... well give or take a thunderstorm over Memorial day weekend... cos ya know, that's how we roll here in Bflo...

When you first saw my little pile of pretty squares, did you ever think you would live to see me actually get to the part where I would stitch them all together? I know I never did. And here we are... the stitching has begun!! Tada!!

Now, how do we feel about the dark blue? Some days I like that it mutes the brightness of the others down a bit, and then other days I hate it because it's not a blue that is reflected in the rest of the colors. I console myself with the thought that that yarn was destined to be a hackey sack. It was not my first color choice for a big old blankie. I am happy that it is not as offensive as it could have been. It is good enough....

Anyhoo, that's about all from me. I am anxiously sitting here awaiting the special delivery of a special purchase I made recently. I can't wait to take pics to post here... *Gah!* wish I could try and be cool about these things like other blogging crafters out there... I am like a big kid squealing with excitement over fabric scraps! haha...

Well, have a great afternoon peeps.... we will be right here... lying in sweaty piles on the floor by the front door waiting for P to come home.

xxx me

I dunno if it's my monitor but the blue squares look grey to me... is it the midnight blue yarn? I think contrasts work very nicely in cases like this.
