Miracle...

*sigh*
Peter and I, thanks to the marvel of modern technology, were just witnesses to the birth of four gorgeous little puppies... There are three boys (we think) and one girl.... two of them we watched being born, and the other two were born in the garden shed.... it is FREEZING out there at the moment and so we caught them just in time as they wouldnt have made it through the night if we hadnt gone out... As i write this they are all in various stages of their first suckle and pass out... Ive been trying to make sure that they have all had a little something to eat... their poor mother is so exhausted she is falling asleep in mid-lick as she tries to clean them all up....

They are all crying like babies... and I have to admit... it makes me "hellah" broody....
We are very proud of Zoe!!! Barely "of age" herself, she has risen to the challenge wonderfully, and apart from a couple of rather rough attempts at picking them up, she is obviously a very good mother and knows exactly what to do... it always fascinates me how nature just takes its course and they just "know"...
