It finally happened!!!!!

We FINALLY FINALLY have the letter from the UK in our hands... We also finally have our appointment date AND in the meantime I have done my medical clearance!!! We are good to go!!

So, tomorrow Im driving through to Linksfield to collect my medical results and things, then Friday I am getting the last of my document copies Certified at the police station, and then on Monday at 11am I am to be at the Consulate to start going through the documents with our caseworker Vishan. And then at 1pm is my formal interview... We cannot wait!!! Tomorrow is officially 9 months since I left Canada and Peter behind me... and at last we have a possible date for my return to him on the horizon....

According to Vishan, IF i get the visa it will be printed in my passport and ready for collection 48 hours later. However, the letter I got by email from him on Monday says that IF i get the visa, my passport and visa will be ready for collection in 24 hours... Now I know that most consulates and embassies aim to have a 24 hour turnaround time... but lately this has been hard to accomplish given stricter requirements... So, we are banking on 48 hours, but hoping for 24... and we have promised that no matter what the cost we will have me on a plane 24 hours after that... SO... in the "lets finally be kind to Ros and Pete" world... I have my interview on Monday, collect visa on Tuesday and am on the plane to my husband at last on Wednesday...
Alternatively, (and slightly more likely), Interview Monday, Collect Visa Wednesday, Fly Thursday or Friday.

Anyway, thats about it for today... I have a pounding headache and my heart is in my throat...
