One Year!

Today is the one year anniversary of my arrival in the States. A lot has happened this past year. We've moved, started a business, P has changed jobs, we've been to Texas, fell in love with Texas and now we are packing up and getting ready to move again.

Luckily we found out that I do not need to renew my visa at all this year. On or before June 20th next year we need to deal with all of that again, so today marks the beginning of one more blissful year without worrying about visas, and a whole new fresh beginning for us in our new home. Monday is the four week mark. It is the day I finally get to tell all my clients about my upcoming move, we get to tell our landlady that we are leaving... *sigh!* Bliss... well except for the packing part...

I bought this print as a gift to myself to mark the first year. I love love love this painting by Marisa Haedika and I felt that it would be an excellent symbol for this day, putting down roots and all. She does beautiful work and I encourage you to check out her site. There's a new painting every day!

Yay congrats!! That's so cool. I can't believe it's been a year. And such a beautiful pic to celebrate and I love the symbolism.
