Well, I feel as though I am caught up now after a slew of back dated posts this month. It's been a little crazy around here with completing the floors, trying to take some time off, and working my tail off trying to keep us above water for the rest of the school vacation. We've also done a lot more hanging out with the South African group and it has been so nice having weekend plans for a change, instead of vegging on the couch from Friday to Sunday.
With the house we're now at the point where we need to start tackling the big projects, bathroom, sliding door, living room ceiling... all of these things are going to cost major money so we can't really give them too much attention until August when Peter gets back to work and starts earning a paycheck again. We still have some of the tax refund available, but that is going to be wiped out when we do the last of the floors and trim and the sliding door... The bathroom is a whole other situation. :(
As you see, the cracks are starting to appear again, so we're now racing against the clock to get out of this place and into a cheap, cheerful apartment where we can put more money aside and get back on our feet.
We have big plans ahead of us. But I will go into that another day when I have more time to write it all out properly.
