I need a desk

I need a desk to work on. Right now I spend my days trying to get comfy with the laptop in bed. Not ideal. Not conducive to excellent work and concentration. We're expecting guests in September. My aunt and uncle arrive from SA. We don't want to move P's desk out of the bedroom and back into the guest room until after they're gone so for now we both live and work in our bedroom all day -- me on the bed. Sounds like fun huh? Well, it's really not very practical.

In my quest to furnish my office with multi-functional pieces at a reasonable price I headed over to my always favorite Ikea! Look what I found:I think it will work. I can have my laptop on one side and my sewing machine and stuff on the other side. Or, until we can get P's man cave sorted out nicely, we can have him on one and me on the other -- space dependent, but I think it will work. This desk is no great beauty, but I think it's the perfect solution to our space issue. Now that we have a guest bed, we need to be able to fit both the bed and our office into the one space.

I also want to find a hanging file cupboard on wheels in white that is around the same height as this desk. I can put the printer on top of that and hopefully fit all of my client files in the drawers so that they're out of the way.

Bottom line, I want the room to be more CRAFT ROOM than office and I think that this desk will help me make it happen.
